i know i shouldnt...

As I sit and wrote this I know there are a thousand and one things i 'should' be doing right now, but after this crazy busy week (seeing friends, babysitting, the never ending cleaning/tidying/sorting etc of children and pets and the shopping) I have decided to sit down for five minutes and say hello.

ok ok so obv I do sit down most days and I do get some time to myself, but it never feels like enough - but if I had a hour/2hrs/3 or 4 a day would it still fell like *enough*? i doubt it. I love my children, I love my friends and I know I'm not very good sat staying in - I feel isolated very easily and I remeber how quickly that downward spiral began when I had Jack, I finally ended up on anti depressants and NEVER wanna go back there. But there is a difference between not going out and only going out two or three days a week right? lol x

I have been reccomended a book to read by two lovely ladies so thats next on my to do list, oh and sort some paperwork this weekend for a very good friend who is going to have a baby soon (and has asked me to be her Doula - yay!) and I am working tomorrow with CWM (Carnegie Weight Management) oh and sunday its ice skating, the Green Backyard Craft day and seeing my parents as they hae been to America and Canada - see?!!? lol x

and in other news.......... CAMP IS TWO WEEKS AWAY!!  - I am SO excited! :)

love x

What i am loving right now:

my children - they are all so cute / clever etc in thier own unique ways (i obv am biased :)) but each day they bring me so much happiness, Gracie with how she stares into my eyes and looks SO much like my nan Ada, Eleanor with her LOVE of books and song, she even has a sense of rhythm (tho not from me!), Jack loves to ask questions and find out how things work and although when i have tea on and the girls to feed i can at times find it repetitive and tedious i hope he doesnt loose his curiosity and excitement at the little things - seeds sprouting, chickens laying eggs, making and baking x

the outdoors  - the sun is here (most days), the garden is growing and the garden is looking good, with waterbutt, wormery, fire pit (oh yeah - i can now make a fire!) and (half finished) clay oven it is my little piece of the good life x

my friends - you know who you are! things have not been easy this last year or so but you have all been there for me one or another, some of you i have known a long time and others not so much but i value each and every one of you x special thanks go to Laura and Rowena - you rock!

I am so lucky, to have these things but also be a part of an unschooling family, brestfeed both my girls, wear my girls and of course i am SO very fortunate that i do not have to work, ans that is down to my wonderful husband of almost four years - Adam x heres to the next forty years babe! x

Long time commin :)

SORRY! i know i havent blogged  for a while but things have been mental here, ok ok so when aint they :) but i have really stuggled to find time for myself lately let alone sit down and blog. (something needs to change there - my last blog entry started similiar to this too!)

I realise i havent blogged about TM (The Mother) camp annd i dont really know where to start! It was the most amazing experiance ever, the sense of community was so uplifting and the people simply inspiring. It has changed all of us in one way or another and it has really made me think about our life and chages we could impliment. Laura took some FAB photos ( Have a look here x ) (thank you). It was also great to spend so much time with Laura, Russ, Pheobe and Ezra - thank you guys x

Some changes I want to make will take time, weeks, months and in some cases a little while longer but i have no doubt that each and every one will be worth it.

Since we have been home i have been unwell and would like to thank everyone for thier support, help and kind words, especially Laura, Rowena and Tranquility x

Love

Thought it would be nice to share some of things that i am loving right now, some may seem a little abstract and others a little insignificant compared to the rest but I love each an every thing on this list.

  • The way Jack is exploring using language at the moment
"mummy, i am out of deep breath"
"confused? - is that the right word mummy?"
"i have a appetite "

  • The sunny days we have been having (and of course the fact that i havent got to wear my hat and gloves everyday any more)
  • Green shoots - THERE IS LIFE!
  • The pile of sand on my back lawn (Means the patio is FINALLY being done!)
  • The way my little girl feeds herself and is SO close to crawling - but still has that intense need for her mother
  • My friends - you all bring something different into my life and my life would not be complete without you and your families.
