Day four and all is good, though it wasn't easy getting there!
Day one was a bit of a muddle, hindsight says I should have planned this whole advent a lot better! Ie - I checked the cereal was ok to eat then realised I had no 'milk' so ate a bowl of dry cornflakes! And the jammie dodgers were screaming 'EAT ME!' From the top cupboard! Day one ended in a trip to the shops to get 'vital supplies' :)
Day two consisted of planning, planning and more planning :) gathering recipes from everywhere I could - thank you laura for your help in this, veganomicon is the best! The jammie dodgers had been eaten - not by me I hasten to add - but despite helpful advice from many people I was still craving a proper cup of tea!
Days three and four have been much better, I have found a brilliant little shop to get 'supplies' from and last night I made 'fudgy wudgy brownie' - blueberry and chocolate brownie and it was FAB! Even my meat eating guests liked it (though they had theirs covered in cream!)
But the best part? - Eleanor is much better, she is still a little sick (all babies are) but nothing compared to how she was - it was upsetting to see her being so sick everyday and part of me is a little upset and annoyed at myself for not doing something sooner, I knew there must be something that could help, I told numerous health professionals that she was sick far too much but no-one listened - because she was putting on weight well it wasn't considered a problem. Thank you so much K for suggesting this as it has really made a difference to us.
I'm starting to embrace and even enjoy this whole experience. It has been harder than I even imagined and I couldn't have done it without a little help from my friends :)
