Love

Thought it would be nice to share some of things that i am loving right now, some may seem a little abstract and others a little insignificant compared to the rest but I love each an every thing on this list.

  • The way Jack is exploring using language at the moment
"mummy, i am out of deep breath"
"confused? - is that the right word mummy?"
"i have a appetite "

  • The sunny days we have been having (and of course the fact that i havent got to wear my hat and gloves everyday any more)
  • Green shoots - THERE IS LIFE!
  • The pile of sand on my back lawn (Means the patio is FINALLY being done!)
  • The way my little girl feeds herself and is SO close to crawling - but still has that intense need for her mother
  • My friends - you all bring something different into my life and my life would not be complete without you and your families.

four x

Jack turned four this week, that is scary. I have said so much recently that my little boy has grown up so so much but it really hit home with his birthday. I was on a course all week so the big day itself Adam spent with him but we went out for pizza (no cheese for me) with my sister and her boyfriend. The weekend came and that meant party time! We had a messy play session and the children loved it! there was also face painting - which ended up being the children painting the adults faces! I got off lightly considering how some of the other adults looked! lol, I did a veggie / vegan buffet and it seemed to go down well - thank you so much sandy, lau and kt for your help xxx

We are very lucky to have such great family and friends, Jack recieved some lovely gifts as well as some money, including - more to add to his train track collection, books, cd's, bedding, some dressing up things, a plane! (toy one of course, lol) and a booster seat for auntie katie's car! Thank you cards are on the way x

The other thing we did related to his birthday was remove the harness from his car seat, extend the headrest and thread the seatbelt through so it now fastens up over jack. Jack thinks this is great, to me it just shows how fast he is growing up :s.

A week since going dairy free and my brownie has already had a second outing! This time I made it for Laura and Russ and it seemed to go down well! Its getting easier all the time though I do still miss some things.

Yesterday was spent with Laura, Phoebe and Ezra and again it was great, we went to a local nct group to talk about and demonstrate our slings and wraps then we came back here for the rest of the afternoon until the men came home for tea. Though it was nice it wasn't without its trials!

Firstly Laura came over early, I didn't mind this at all but then I realised I had the clean washing that needed folding in a pile in the living room, - worst bit - it was still there when Russ came over! *cringe*

We were on our way to get the bus, just on the bridge over the dual carriageway and the bus went past, typical! I hate it when we miss it by only a little, so frustrating!

The session itself was good, though Jack did make a mess with the blocks Shaz kindly brought for him to play with and then decided to run around the hall :( It was one of those days where Jack was determined to wind me up, he knows how to get me rattled and so yesterday he didn't listen, did the opposite of what I asked and did things he knows he shouldn't and wouldn't normally do. I know he's only 3 and I try my hardest just to let him be as free as possible and not just say no for the sake of it, I try to let him try new things and encourage independence and overall I think Jack responds well to this, but we all have our days don't we?

On the way back from the group we had to run for the bus in the rain! Good job it wasn't far! And luckily it had stopped raining by the time we had to get off. Once home the children played together well and they also helped with the brownie making, tea seemed to be a success though it was late getting on the table :s

All in all - another fab day xx

family time...

Adam took jack to the childrens centre along with Russ and Pheobe for a local dads group while Laura, me, ezra and eleanor spent some time at home, knitting, chatting, drinking tea and eating cookies :) When they came back we had lunch at ours,it was lovely, although Eleanor did wee and vomit on Russ! - Sorry Russ xx

We then all headed into town, jack spend the whole journey checking he could see 'Russ and Pheobe's car' and shouting when he couldnt see it. when we were parking me and adam started to debate (argue :)) over who was going to wear eleanor! So great that adam is keen to wear her, he even practised with the sling a couple of times when he got home!

We went to a made by artisans event in the centre of town and I got to meet Louise and saw some of her beautiful Art work. We then went for a coffee, grabed for bits for tea and out separate ways home.

Tea was an event in itself! Adam had chosen some meat for tea and although i cooked it for tea i also did myself pasta with peppers and mushrooms - i now remember why i stopped being a vegetarian about 4 years ago, preparing two meals at a time is hard work! - Adam may be great with some things i want to do and he will eat a veggie meal if i put it in front of him for a couple of nights but soons mentions rather loudy that he hasnt seen meat for a while! I stil have some work to do there!

It was so nice to be with another attachment family. great for adam to spend time with another dad who has children the same age and it was esp nice as me and laura have grown so close. better go now as adam wants me to show him some vidoes so he can learn how to wrap Jack on his back!
